The Friends of the Concord Covered Bridge Historic District will host a Booth at this weekend’s Smyrna Spring Jonquil Festival at the Village Green in downtown Smyrna. We will be there from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, April 26th and again on Sunday, April 27th from Noon to 5 PM. We would love for you to stop by and say hi to us.
We plan to have on display the Master Plan for Heritage Park that was commissioned a number of years ago by Cobb County, much of which has not been developed yet. In the years to come, we hope to be able to aid in efforts to complete portions of this vision for our beloved Historic District. Come by to take a look and to learn what other events we have planned for this year. We will even have some unique Covered Bridge items for sale.
At the Festival, we will also be announcing/promoting our Historic District Tour of Homes coming this Fall. We have generated a tremendous amount of interest already, with ticket reservation requests made for more than half of the limited number of Tours that will be available. Current members of our organization will be given exclusive access to purchase Tour tickets one week before they become available to the general public. To learn more about the Tour and Advance Ticket Reservations, please visit our Website at www.ConcordCoveredBridge.org/tourofhomes
If you would like to help us at the Festival Booth, we would love to have you join in the fun. Please indicate your participation by signing up at www.signupgenius.com/go/70a094ca9ae2aa2f85-fccbhd.
Rain or shine, we will be there at the Festival to answer any of your questions about the Friends and to share with you why it is important to support this growing community group. You can become a Member or renew your membership for 2019 online at www.ConcordCoveredBridge.org/join
See you there.
