[Mableton, Ga.]. Friends of the Concord Covered Bridge Historic District, Inc. has received a $1,200 grant and membership in the ElevenLabs Impact Program, which provides the organization with access to advanced artificial-intelligence voice technology.
The grant will support the development of a new version of the Concord Covered Bridge Historic District audio tour, which is available on iOS, Android, and web platforms. Since its original release in 2020, the tour has been used more than 10,000 times by visitors interested in learning about the district’s history, landmarks and cultural significance.
“This program will provide us with access to ElevenLabs’ phenomenal AI tools, including the industry’s leading voice-cloning technology,” said Dave Mahloy, Research Chair for Friends of the Concord Covered Bridge Historic District, Inc. “This will allow FCCBHD to develop and release the next version of our highly popular Concord Covered Bridge Historic District audio tour. The new version is slated for release in Fall 2026.”
Through the ElevenLabs Impact Program, nonprofit and mission-driven organizations receive access to voice technology that can help expand educational access, preserve important stories, and reach broader audiences.
The updated tour will build on the success of the original experience while using new technology to make the district’s history more engaging and accessible to residents, students, tourists and preservation advocates.
Additional information about the updated audio tour will be announced as development progresses.
