It’s October and time for planting October Glory Maple Trees at the Silver Comet Trailhead on Concord Road
The Friends of the Concord Covered Bridge invite you to join us to celebrate Fall and our wonderful Historic District by assisting with the planting of two more Maple Trees along the pathway leading down to the Silver Comet Trail from the Concord Road Parking Lot. We will meet (properly masked) to plant these two additional trees on Saturday morning, October 17th starting at 9:00 AM.
We are also proud to announce that this year’s annual event is made possible through a Community Champion Award Grant our organization received from the natural gas energy marketer, Constellation – An Exelon Company. #constellationcommunitychampions
After the trees are in the ground, watered, and mulch rings installed, we will conduct a demonstration of our new Historic District App by leading a walk through of the various sites and landmarks within the Historic District. So please bring your smartphone or tablet in order to download and experience our new App and its rich audio/visual content.
Please put this date on your calendar and plan to join us in this community effort. The weather forecast is great and we are ON for this Saturday.
