It is Halloween Night in the Concord Covered Bridge Historic District, and what could be more appropriate tonight than a 100-year old ghost story set right here in the place that used to be known as “Concord”. This is a true story, as told directly to my wife and me by a great-great-grandson of Martin Luker Ruff when he came by to visit the old Ruff home place a few years ago. My wife Lanier captured the story eloquently in an essay for The Rabbit Room. You can read the full story “Beyond our Ken” here.
Enjoy if you dare!
